ORO’S 1ST BIRTHDAY

When a pre-pandemic former bride asked us to coordinate her son’s 1st birthday, we immediately said yes to this full circle moment.  Nina & Jed were kind, thoughtful and loving on their wedding, so we knew we were in for a treat for Oro’s first birthday.

They had thought of every detail including choosing a family favorite as their venue.  Suzuki Shokudo in Queens, a family owned and operated restaurant felt like dining at a family member’s house with their warmth and accommodating nature.

Lovely Creations led by owner Kari, decorated the space to incorporate all gold tones for Oro’s big day.

Each space of the venue was transformed to showcase suns, yellow balloons and tons of treats by Tiny Tastes, who also did Nina & Jed’s wedding cake!

Our team made sure the area was kiddie ready with a play pen for some of the other babies.  We also set out the homemade favors of mason jar desserts.

One of our favorite parts of the day was laying out the watching the Zhuazhou, which is when they set out some items on a tray for Oro to choose from.  The tradition says that what he chooses is what he will do in his career path- he chose a stethoscope & a mini computer! Future scientist?

We’re always so grateful when clients come back for future events!
